National team training camps

2019. October 21, Monday 19:58 | International training centre

In October, several training camps for national teams of younger age groups will be organized in Balatonboglár and Szigetszentmiklós.

The team members practice together and will also play international matches in Israel and France.

The men’s youth national team led by head coach Krisztián Kárpáti met in the middle of the month in Balatonboglár. Following two training sessions, they will fly to Paris, where the team will take part in the four-nation tournament, which has been a great success for many years now. Our team will face Portugal first, then France and finally the team of the Czech Republic will be their opponents. The Hungarians won last year’s edition with a hundred percent record; we believe that the team can produce a similar result this time as well. In the squad, four NEKA players – Marcell Bodócs, Gábor Temesvári, Tamás Papp and Tamás Konyicsák – will have the chance to prove their talents.

The men’s junior national team currently do their preparations in Szigetszentmiklós under the guidance of László Sótonyi. The team will fly to Israel at the end of October, where they will play test matches against their local counterparts. Our academy is represented in the squad by Márton Dely, Dániel Kecskés and Barnabás Marcika this time.

Zsolt Kopornyik, head coach of the boys’ U16 national team is inviting this month other members of the sixty-player squad suggested by national supervisors for a first joint training sessions in the autumn. During the first round three academy students, and during the upcoming second round nine students will join the sessions.

In the girls’ U15 national team this time twenty players can practice together. The team led by Beáta Bohus and dr. Péter Woth prepares for the Olympic Hopefuls’ Competition in December, which will be held in Poland this year.
