NEKA experts gave high-quality and noteworthy presentations at the Sports Scientific Conference of the European Handball Federation (EHF) in Cologne.

General manager Tamás Mocsai, leader of the health care and sports sciences group András László Szabó and fitness coach Martin Szücs introduced the composition of work, the performance analysis and the structure of the activities at NEKA, which has without doubt made a big impression on the renowned international professionals.

According to András László Szabó, the majority was surprised to hear the presentations on the professional conditions and infrastructure of the Hungarian academy, which was previously lesser known in the international arena.

“There were excellent coaches and researchers in the ranks of the audience, their work is considered a benchmark in the international handball world. That is why we were honoured to receive a lot of positive feedback from them after our presentations in English. The work at NEKA was said to be clearly forward-looking and to be followed, and several university colleagues indicated that they would be happy to use the results and experience of the professional findings from Balatonboglár for their research. We have also talked about a possible cooperation, so it can come to fruition in the future”– summarised András László Szabó the experience.

Tamás Mocsai, general manager of NEKA, introduced the philosophy, the structure and the foundations of the academy, and the audience was amazed by the fact that the unique educational programme can be followed by the athletes free of charge.

The lecture given by Martin Szücs titled “Performance analysis in handball – a new direction in sport?” was also a great success.

“Many have come to congratulate, including the fitness coach of Barcelona and the specialist from Rostov Don. Everyone clearly noted that the direction represented by NEKA is good, the results, the low number of injured players and the number of players for the national teams justify it. Many have indicated their intention to visit the academy” – as Martin Szücs explained.
