CEREMONIAL OPENING OF THE YEAR AT NEKA

Sportsmen, sportswomen, relatives and NEKA-employees took part in the ceremonial opening of the year at NEKA on the 31st of July. The leaders of the institution gave speeches, after them, our successful coaches and sportsmen, sportswomen were awarded for their excellent performance on world and national events. Beside these, the new students began the new season with making a vow.

Owe to the opening ceremony, all teammates and friends met each other again and reported about their summer programmes. They and their parents were welcomed by our general manager, Tamás Mocsai, our sports science and expert director, prof. dr. h. c. Lajos Mocsai, Gyula Sikler, the head of dormitory and the school directors. In their speech they talked about future challenges, referring to the existing problematic situations all over the world and to the everyday exercises in school and on the court.

János Hajdu and László Sótonyi, leaders of girl and boy teams, shed light on the sports season and its plans. After these speeches, the performance of our sportsmen, sportswomen and experts on the women’s junior world championship, the European championship and last but not least, the youth beach handball European championship was highlighted.

The next step of the event was making a vow by the new members of NEKA, in which they promised that they would do anything in order to be successful and make our institution more and more well-known. After all registrations and moving in, parents had the chance of being informed by the head of the dormitory and his colleagues about the new exercises and the important moments of the school year. They could discuss their questions with all of our experts.

It is highly positive to us that more and more players’ brother or sister becomes a member of one of the teams. The brother of Hunor Csengeri, called Botond is a new player of us and wants to follow his sibling as his role model, because Hunor plays in our national men’s team.
